Week 10

As my internship comes to an end, I am so grateful for every learning opportunity. Working one on one with the CEO and founder of a start-up company provided me with so much knowledge about how much work is involved in start-ups as well as how to spread the word and advertise the company now that it has just been launched. Jim provided me with projects that were relevant to my future studies and that also kept me busy. He also allowed me to be involved in the projects that he had Brafton working on for him, which I really appreciated. I was able to share my own inputs on Brafton's work, which he took seriously. I also enjoyed doing marketing research for him because it allowed me to become an expert on these types of marketing. Jim also kept me involved and updated on what he was currently working on. He showed me his investor presentation and sent it to me for my own use and future reference. He also asked for my input before he sent it to be edited.

I am so thankful for Harry Patten and the UNH ECenter for giving me the opportunity to learn from and work with the founder of a start-up company. I could not have learned more about the business and the passion that is involved in starting the company than from the founder himself. I plan on continuing to work for Jim into the fall semester and I can't wait to see what other projects I would be working on.
